Community Building, Culture, and Public Health Administration (SKF)

Is one of the country's broadest and most diversified administrations and includes seven units (Emergency Services, Environmental Unit, Planning and Building Unit, Technical Unit, Meal Unit, Culture Unit, and Recreation Unit) as well as an Administrative Staff. Our goal is to be a forward-leaning, change-oriented, and service-focused administration that is held together by our collective development work and our ambition to enhance each other's skills in our respective professions. At SKF, we work at a fast pace with the broadest palette of municipal tasks, which requires our employees to look beyond their respective operations to contribute to a whole within the administration. In our operations, we respond to three political committees: the Community Building Committee, the Culture & Public Health Committee, and the Conflict of Interest Committee.

Meal Unit

Is a consolidated operation that produces and serves meals to guests of all ages. The operation consists of several preparation kitchens and reception kitchens spread throughout the municipality. In our kitchens, about 85 people work, distributed across 32 workplaces.

Job Responsibilities

Are you passionate about good food made from scratch with a little extra care and with the goal of providing the best possible service? As a chef in our kitchens, you prepare meals and special diets with joy for our customers.

We work with good food products, providing the opportunity to develop and at the same time give you the chance to gain broad experience from our kitchens. The job responsibilities include cooking, traditional and special diet cooking, as well as all other tasks occurring in the kitchen.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for someone with a culinary education, is a chef/cook, or has professional experience deemed equivalent. Knowledge of special diets is an advantage. Orders may occur, making computer skills a must. A B driver's license is a requirement.

As a chef within the Meal Unit in Laholm Municipality, you are offered a varied job with great responsibility. You have a fixed placement in a kitchen where you are part of the daily work with planning, preparation, and serving meals. If necessary, work in other kitchens may occur, but your primary workplace is your regular kitchen. The operation includes meals for schools, preschools, and elderly care, where quality, service, and joy of food are the focus.

We want you to be service-oriented and responsible. Great emphasis is placed on flexibility as you are expected to adapt at short notice; variations in working hours and tasks may occur, as well as weekend work when the need arises. You are resourceful and not afraid to try new things. You are meticulous and positive and can work both independently and in a group. You must master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

We place great importance on personal suitability. The work requires good physical condition in terms of strength, endurance, and mobility.

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis

Scheduled working hours Mon-Fri. Some weekend work and varied working hours may occur in case of urgent need for a substitute. Employment rate 80-100%.
